Sue Needs…

 recitationspg127

I decided to do finish some projects around the house today.  Before I went outside to paint, I worked for a short time this morning scanning in public domain images from the book Child’s Book of Recitations by Laura Augusta Yerkes, Copyright 1902 and 1905 by W.E. Scull. This set of black and white illustrations is on page 127.  I liked the fairies so I spent some time working on them.  I’ll probably work on the girl and cat some other time. I love the vintage children’s illustrations.

When  I came in from painting and looked at my blog stats only to find that I’ve been tagged by Diane.   Rather than use my own words, I think I’ll be lazy and borrow Diane’s.

From Much of a muchness, Diane Needs:

I found this meme at Kim’s @ Laketrees. She borrowed it from Sandee’s @ Comedy Plus who was tagged by Mimi of Mimi Writes for the The Needs Meme. Mimi was tagged by Shannon’s Moments of Introspection who was tagged by Dawn’s Daily Life ……
This one is pretty simple and looks pretty silly.
The rules: All you have to do is Google your first name with the word needs behind it and post the results

When I googled my name followed by needs, I discovered that a lot of people had already been playing this game.  I decided to mess with google and randomly select those pages we hardly ever look at.  Here’s a list of 12 randomly selected needs.

  1. Sue needs to be guided down the path that grabs all the sweet candy (Sounds good!)
  2. Sue needs to be explored by both partners before they can proceed to the fourth task (Hmmm…really?)
  3. Sue needs to look at getting back in step with us if she wants to stay and participate as a full member of the Liberal party (Tsk!  I do have trouble keeping in step…)
  4. Sue needs people to stay and help clean up!!! (Pretty Please???)
  5. Sue needs to have your RSVP along with the $20.00 by Sunday March 26th  (so fork it over!)
  6. Sue needs to be away from the stress of her everyday life for a period of time (TRUE!)
  7. SUE needs cheese on toast (You must be thinking of Diane!)
  8. Sue needs to lose weight (Duh!  With all that candy and cheese on toast, what do you expect?)
  9. Sue needs some self-respect (LOL)
  10. Sue needs to be heard and understood. (Maybe this will help…)
  11. Sue needs to find out how to aim the sling. (Watch out!)

  12. Sue needs to be fired. (YES and I’m hiring replacements!)

I’m going to have to tag a few people, how about Donna, Sharon, Michelle and Cindy.   It’s totally optional.  I think you’ll have fun.

you have some really ‘interesting’ and varied needs Sue…
grabbing the candy on THAT path sounds like real fun ;)

  2. Diane Says:

I’ll go down that candy path too. I’m a little worried about number 2 and number 11 though!

    Thanks for doing this!

  3. LOL. It makes me giggle whenever I look at that list. Not to worry about number 11, Diane, my aim is still bad and I promise to only sling donuts. Number 2 I have to admit is pretty scary.

Thanks you guys! That was fun!

  4. Am I the Michelle on your list? (Don’t know how many of us you know ~ :p )

And is that me scolding Max up there?

  5. You are! If in doubt, you could always click on your link! :-)

Yes! I think Max does need scolding. You could always threaten to put a Hanibal Lector muzzle on him if he continues to bite.

  6. I’m a little slow today…didn’t even realize the link was there. :(

  7. It’s just that nasty Max bite that’s making you feel sluggish!

Perhaps Max isn’t feeling well and that’s why he’s biting. Did you check to see if he has an infected Leo bite somewhere?

Thanks, Sue, for tagging me. I post weekly so will answer your challenge next week. I started poasting the week’s posts on Sunday afternoon to save time during the week.

    Your answers make me chuckle.
