Getting Ready for Witch Hazel Fund Raising Bazaar
November 22, 2008

I’m getting ready for the Holiday Bazaar at Witch Hazel Elementary School. I decided to go ahead and put together some Christmas light earrings. I hadn’t tried out my head mannequin’s, Maeve, ear holes, so I decided to give it a shot. She looks pretty good!

She can even hold a pose better than my kids!

The bazaar is tomorrow. I feel like I’m barely making it. I still have more hooks to make. I’ve been pulling out display pieces and holiday table cloths. I still have tables, table cloths and display pieces from when I did bazaars years ago. Since we only have a table space and I’m sharing with my daughter’s, I thought I would bring out a few vertical display pieces like the wire Christmas tree.

Most of the items we’ll be putting out will be $5 and under; however, I decided to include some of the earrings my husband made over the years. For a while he was very much into precious and semi-precious stones. He has a variety of earrings that he has never even attempted to sell…and there is no way we can use or give away that many earrings. We decided to price them inexpensively $15, $20, and $25 depending on the stone. I packaged them up last night to bring with us.
I’d like to go through some of the stuff I haven’t listed on etsy and see if I can add them to the table. Since I have limited space and time, I’m probably not going to get around to it. I really don’t have high hopes of selling a lot. My intent was to allow my girls to see what it’s like to sell their creations. I think it’s nice to have the variety and a full table always looks better than a sparse table. It would be great to sell enough to pay for the booth.
The bazaar is tomorrow, November 22, 2008 from 9am to 4pm. The address is Witch Hazel Elementary School, 4950 SE Davis Road, Hillsboro, Oregon. My daughter tells me that they have 50 vendors with a wide variety of items.
