Today I decided to upload 3 freebies black and white drawings from a child’s reading book called Williams’s Choice Literature Book 4 , Copyright 1912 by Sherman Williams. The book is beautifully illustrated. The images are in the public domain; therefore copyright free.
The bird nest on the flowering branch illustration above is for a poem called “The Silver Bird’s Nest”, Page 213.

The illustration is for a children’s story called “The Nutcrackers”. The book has several illustrations for this story. This image of 3 chipmunks, 2 sitting and one with a bag of nuts is on Page 203.

The illustration is for the poem “Jack in the Pulpit”, a children’s poem about the flower. The drawing is on Page 195 of the book.
All of these vintage drawings have been scanned in at 300dpi then uploaded to my flickr page. I have attached an attribution to Creative Commons. You are free to download them from my flickr page. You can click on the image in this post which will take you to that image on flickr. Flickr will allow you to select a size to download by clicking on the all sizes link.

I still have the report I did in elementary school on the Jack-in-the-Pulpit flower.
Thought it was a pretty flower and had a really cool name.
