We’ve been on a little mini-vacation, so my freebie downloads are a little later than usual this Friday.
The public domain images that I’ve chosen for this Friday are illustrations of The Decameron. The book is illustrated by Thomas Derrick. The book was published in 1920 by Chatto & Windus of London. The Decameron is a series of stories written by Giovanni Boccaccio. To learn more about the stories, you can find a listing for The Decameron in Wikipedia.
The first image, Madame Oretta and the Knight Who Told a Story, is located between pages 304 and 305.
This illustration titled “Giannello Strinario in the Tub” is between pages 334 and 335.
The image above is titled “Gerbino and the Saracens” and is located between pages 196 and 197.
