Front View of Skull

With October nearly here, I figured several of you might be thinking of Halloween.  I decided to upload a few photos of bones (skeleton parts) and body parts to get you started with your holiday crafting.   The images  are illustrations from the public domain book, The Practical Guide to Health by Frederick M. Rossiter, copyright 1910, Pacific Press Publishing Association, Mountain View, Cal.  It turns out I have two editions of the same book.

The front skull illustration above is from page 25.  It is figure 8.

Skull Side View
Figure 7 on page 25 shows the side view of the skull.
Bones of Foot
A few pages further in the book, we have Figure 13, “Bones of the foot”.
Bones in Hand
Also on page 29 is Figure 12, “Bones of the hand”.
Cross Section of a Face
On page 106 is Figure 39 which illustrates the air passages. It shows a cross-section of a face.
Mouth
On page 122 is an illustration of “The receiving room”, Figure 44. This is the inside of the mouth.
The Tongue
The last image is Figure 45, “the tongue, showing the papillae” on page 123.

The illustrations are from a pre-1923 copyright book.  The images should be copyright-free.  All the images have been uploaded to my flickr page.  They have been attributed to Creative Commons.  If you click on the image, you will be taken to the image on my flickr page where you can chose the size of image to download for free.
